Hi, I’m Jennifer! I’m a sophomore at Duke majoring in psychology. I’m really interested in how culture influences children’s social and moral beliefs. I have always loved children’s sensitivity in navigating the world, and I hope to keep discovering their wisdom by contributing to the research at the ECC lab. In my free time, I love swimming, listening to Taylor Swift and K-Pop, keeping up with the latest Netflix series, and volunteering at the Duke Puppy Kindergarten.

Hi I’m Collin! I’m a rising junior from Durham double majoring in Economics and Psychology. I’m excited to join the ECC lab and get to work with children in the community! I’m particularly interested in how social norms and hierarchies arise among children. Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing guitar, running, and exploring the outdoors!

Hello, I'm Hannah! I am a rising sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Child Policy Research and Economics. I am also on the pre-med track, hoping to specialize in pediatrics or neonatology! I am so excited to join the ECC lab to learn about child development; I am particularly interested in how children form their moral compasses and how parenting can influence this! Outside of research, I enjoy trying new foods, traveling, and playing volleyball.

Hi, I’m Sabreen! I’m a sophomore at Duke studying neuroscience on the pre-med track. As someone who loves teaching and connecting with children, I know they are often our most innovative members of society; I’m interested in understanding how children develop ideas and opinions, especially within the contexts of trust and decision-making. In my free time, you can find me in a yoga class, watching the latest HBO show, or eating at Durham’s best (and worst) restaurants with my friends.

Hi, I'm Emma! I'm a sophomore at Duke studying Psychology and Child & Family Policy. Child development has always been fascinating to me - I'm especially interested in moral reasoning, social cognition, and the role of parenting in long-term mental health outcomes. I'm hoping to combine my love for kids with a long-standing passion for medicine by pursuing adolescent psychiatry. Outside the lab, you can find me volunteering at Duke Children's Hospital, playing badminton in Card Gym, or going somewhere new to eat.
