Currently hiring for Summer 2024!

The Early Childhood Cognition Lab led by Dr. Tamar Kushnir is looking to hire volunteer undergraduate research assistants for the Summer term! Our lab studies the process by which children ages 3-11 learn through everyday experiences. Anyone curious to learn how developmental research works and who enjoys working with children are welcome to apply.

Undergraduate RAs may be working on the following tasks in the lab:

  • Recruiting and contacting parents via email, inviting children to participate in lab studies

  • Running studies on Zoom, in lab, or at the museum

  • Creating surveys/making study stimuli

  • Coding videos

  • Working with kids and supervising them in the waiting room

  • Conducting Literature Reviews

Ideal candidates are attentive to detail, have experience working with children and their families. This is a volunteer only research assistantship with practicum opportunities available. Preference is given to sophomores and juniors, and candidates who are willing to make a two semester commitment to the role. We require a time commitment of 6 hours/week, scheduled in shifts between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

If you have any questions or would like to submit an application, please email ecclabmanager@duke.edu with your resume and a brief statement of interest.
