Debora Hollanda Souza is a visiting research scholar at the Early Childhood Cognition Lab (with funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation-FAPESP). She received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin (2004) and she has been part of the Psychology Department faculty at Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil, since 2005. Her research explores different aspects of sociocognitive development, but her more recent work has focused on epistemic trust and possible cultural influences on how children learn from testimony. Like a typical Brazilian, she loves spending time with family and friends and in her downtime, she has been trying to develop her crochet skills.
