Ying Hu
Hi! I’m Ying Hu, a first-year PhD student working with Dr. Tamar Kushnir. My research interests focus on studying children’s beliefs about achievement and effort, and how these beliefs influence their motivation and behaviors in challenging situations. I’m also interested in how environmental factors, such as social messages and culture, affect these beliefs and behaviors. I hope to explore ways to support children in better adapting to and thriving in a challenging world. Outside of research, I love visiting Disneyland, exploring cute shops and cafes, enjoying coffee or milk tea, reading novels or binge-watching TV shows and movies.
