The ECC Lab is recruiting Research Assistants for Summer 2026, with the opportunity to extend the RAship into Fall 2026!
We are offering four types of positions:
Work-Study
We are seeking RAs with extensive experience working with children and families, and ideally some prior research lab experience. Students should have work-study funding.
Paid Full-Time or Part-Time
We are seeking RAs with extensive experience working with children and families, and ideally some prior research lab experience. RAs should be available for approximately 20-40 hours per week over the summer (hours may vary week to week).
Volunteer
This position is ideal for RAs who have experience working with children and families, and are looking to gain more hands-on research experience (prior lab experience not required). Hours are flexible.

About the Lab
Our lab studies how children ages 3–11 learn through everyday experiences. We welcome applicants who are interested in developmental research and enjoy working with children.
RA Responsibilities May Include:
Recruiting and contacting parents via email to invite participation in studies
Running studies via Zoom, in the lab, or at museums
Creating surveys and developing study materials
Coding video data
Supervising children in the waiting room
Conducting literature reviews
Ideal Candidates:
Detail-oriented
Independent
Must have experience working with children and families
Availability on both weekdays and weekends for data collection
